About Ian McKinney

Ian McKinney aka "TV Dads" aka "Krang" aka "Brain Wilson" is based in Austin, Texas and composes music for film and video games. He is also available for bachelorette parties, bar/bat mitvahs and quincañeras, but the clown makeup costs extra.

Ian McKinney's music spans a variety of genres (please refer to my bandcamp page for some examples), but he's best at farty synthesizer noises. His credits include the theme song for indie game Octodad: Dadliest Catch (2014), original music for horror-fantasy feature Dropping Evil (2010), production on P-Tek's hip-hop opus Oh! What a Miracle! (2012), and a score and sound design for comedy short Phone Ghost (2015). 2015 saw the release of lo-fi roller disco concept album All Skate! (out now on cassette), and his work will be featured in two indie films in 2016: Jean-Patrick Mahoney's Dance Jail, and Louis Doerge's Night of the Babysitter.
